About the Event

In January 2023, the Holy Spirit Support Group launched a new series, "Unmasking the Devil in 2023" to help us understand ways in which the enemy operates in our lives, families, communities, and nation. In the wake of the recent Dobbs decision, we see evil Spirits of Deception and Death in operation regarding to abortion as a group of special interests has banded together in an effort to propose an extreme and dangerous amendment into the Constitution. The amendment seeks to identify "reproductive rights" pertaining to abortion as a fundamental right in our state constitution.

If successful, their amendment will eliminate almost every state law and regulation related to abortion - including existing prohibitions against dangerous and cruel abortions on healthy babies late in pregnancy; it will strip away parental notification and consent laws when minors seek abortion or puberty blockers; and it will likely stifle religious freedom and conscience rights of organizations and professionals who opt out of providing such procedures.

Thus, it is time to Unmask the Spirits of Deception and Death in our region and terrority by learning more about this amendment and how we can defeat it!  Come hear a presentation from Beth Vanderkooi, the executive director of Greater Columbus Right to Life, for the past ten years. Prior to this, Beth served extensively in politics and public policy as a legislative aide in both the House and Senate; lobbied for Ohio's largest agricultural organization; and sucessfully ran numerous statewide and local elections. Beth is a resident of downtown Columbus and attends St. Joseph Cathedral.

This event is open to the first 50 people that register and for more information, you may visit to learn more or to join the fight.

Light refreshments will be served.
